Growing up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Makenna fell in love with art early in her life. After painting alongside Romero Britto at just six years old and attending various workshops and classes over the years, she continued to create throughout her education - honing in on her skills in oil painting and portraiture.

In her time at Fordham University, she branched out into the world of digital art, design, and marketing - applying her traditional art skills to the digital sphere. At Fordham, she learned creative coding in Javascript, video game design in Unity, and various design programs including: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, and Figma. In the Fall of 2022, she applied her skills interning at Glass River Media. She helped rebrand the company, conducted competitor analysis, conducted SEO research, planned their social media strategy, and created content with the marketing team.

 

Currently, Makenna is a full-time graphic design contractor. She has spent the past year+ at KCSA, where she has worked on both graphic design and social media for client and internal requests. She has experience working on projects for iHeartMedia, Flushing Bank, KindlyMD, Firefly Neuroscience, Newlake Capital Partners, 3Dots Capital, and a variety of other clients. At KCSA, she also had the opportunity to independently design and animate two NASDAQ billboards in Times Square for client debuts on the American stock exchange.

 

Makenna freelances for various clients of her own, working on projects for companies like Snapchat and Mosler Automotive where she has delivered logos, illustrations, and graphic design print work for various events.
